The day started at 9a.m. with a presentation Madame Picco on the life and couture techniques of Madame Gres. Madame Picco only speaks French so we had an interpreter in class. The presentation went until about 11 when started working on our couture half bustiers. Another lady named Martine came in and helped us work on the bustiers. Both Madame Picco and Martine had worked for Madame Gres in the 80’s. After our lunch break we went back and continued working on the bustiers. The two ladies had brought chocolate for the whole class to snack on, I think we had at least 3 pieces by the end of class. We still didn’t have the bustiers finished by the end of the day. By 6 in the evening when class ended everyone was drained so we went back to the apartment to rest up for another long day the next day.
